30 Hour Famine is a fundraiser to help in the fight against world hunger. However, instead of just collecting money and sending it away, we will experience hunger first hand by going without food for 30 hours. (We’ll have water & juice breaks to make sure we stay safe.) We will be joining hundreds of thousands of young people across the world.
Everyone will begin fasting Friday, Feb. 26th after eating lunch and continue until 6PM on Saturday, Feb. 27th. We will meet at Trinity Friday night at 6pm for an opening rally with Grace Presbyterian Church and St. Barnabus UMC. Together, our youth groups will learn about the issue of world hunger. All three groups will spend the night at Trinity, sleeping outside in cardboard box shelters. Then on Saturday, we will do a service project and go bowling. (Bring $10) We will end our event with a closing worship and dinner at St. Barnabas (you’ll be picked up here at 7pm).
