Every single day, 26,000 children die from hunger and hunger-related causes. On Feb. 27-28, I challenge you to participate in this special lock-in - one that really saves lives!
What is 30 Hour Famine? The World Vision 30 Hour Famine is a fundraiser to help in the fight against world hunger. However, instead of just collecting money and sending it away, we will experience hunger first hand by going without food for 30 hours. (We’ll have water & juice breaks for safety’s sake) We will be joining hundreds of thousands of young people across the world.
Here's how it works: You begin fasting Friday, Feb. 27th after lunch and continue until 6PM on Saturday, Feb. 28th. On the night of 30 Hour Famine, we meet at Grace Presbyterian Church at 6pm for an opening rally. Together, our youth groups will learn about the issue of world hunger. We will spend the night at Trinity in cardboard box shelters. Then on Saturday we'll do a service project and go bowling. (Bring $10) We'll end our event with a closing worship and dinner at St. Barnabas at 7pm(you'll be picked up here).
We challenge you to go just 30 hours without food so that children worldwide can be saved.
